The provincial nominee programs allow each province and territory, except Quebec and Nunavut, to nominate people who wish to settle on its territory. Each program includes at least one stream tied to Express Entry.<\/p>\n
Step 1 - the nomination.<\/strong> You choose the province where you want to live and you file an application there. It is reviewed against that province immigration needs and your genuine intention to settle there.<\/p>\n Step 2 - permanent residence.<\/strong> Once nominated, you file your application with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, which assesses it under federal law.<\/p>\n Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, Northwest Territories: each jurisdiction publishes its own criteria, its targeted occupations and its rounds of invitations.
